The Apple War - Bio
Luke Houglum and Ian Shuler met in Bellingham, WA, where they spent
several years playing together and with good friends (see: Asthmaboy).
Their love for Brit-rock and Motown culminated in heavy use of a free
organ, tossed in with their player piano.
Inspired by the vintage sounds of the organ, they ditched the piano and
headed to Seattle.
In April 2007 they joined forces with bassist Eric Sullivan and
guitarist Nick Fulwiler, and have been playing shows in Seattle and
around the northwest ever since with such bands as The Maldives, Sirens
Sister, The Kindness Kind, The Heavenly States, Grand Hallway, and Kay
Kay and His Weathered Underground.
